Job summary

Nestlé Purina Rockingham County, NC is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure proper quality operations across ingredient management, receiving, formulation and product safety. You will provide technical support for QA and collaborate with operations to uphold product integrity.

You will lead QA activities, maintain specifications, train factory staff, investigate incidents, and support hold management while aligning with safety and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of quality assurance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in food manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational support and improvement activities for the QA stream.
• Oversee process to ensure finished product specifications are maintained and updated.
• Collaborate with operations group and provide coaching and training for factory associates.
• Serve as the main point of contact and support for quality incidents at the factory.
• Lead and support the hold management process, status control, and final disposition.
• Complete quality checks and drive compliance to the QMS.
• Provide support and expertise for the factory formulation process.
• Maintain finished product reference samples and photo standards.

Position Summary

One of our newest factories, located along the Virginia border, breathes new life into a former brewery, creating an innovative and technologically advanced pet food manufacturing facility. We have transformed the existing structure in Rockingham County to produce leading dry dog and cat food brands, including Purina Pro Plan®, Purina ONE®, and Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets®. With a strong focus on sustainability and safety, this facility is committed to doing our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As the Quality Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring proper functioning of quality operations. You will be responsible for ingredient management, receiving, formulation, and product quality and safety. You will provide technical support for the factory regarding all quality aspects.

Required

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1+ years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment and/or food manufacturing environment

Salary: $44,038.80 to$63,464.00 per year

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
