Job summary

Amcor in Dalton, GA seeks an experienced Quality Assurance leader responsible for finished goods evaluation, raw material specs, and product recordkeeping. You will direct the QC department, ensure compliance with ANSI/ASQC and ISO 9001 standards, investigate complaints, and collaborate with sales and manufacturing to resolve issues and finalize dispositions.

The role requires a four-year degree and 6+ years in QC or a related field.

Job summary

Responsible for finished goods evaluation, raw material specs, blown film testing, and product recordkeeping. Directs and leads department to ensure all customer QC specification are achieved, Standard Operating Procedures are followed, product tracing and recordkeeping is documented and retained. Investigates complaints and responds to related issues. Works with sales, manufacturing and customers to resolve issues and make final disposition of order/products.

Summary Of Essential Job Functions

Directs and leads local quality control effort to ensure compliance with customer specifications and applications. Applies QA systems, procedures, and practices to document all activities and maintain manufacturing recordkeeping activities. Investigates complaints and represents location on behalf of plant. Ensure timely testing is completed and department is trained in latest procedures in conjunction with customer specifications and corporate/industry standards such as ANSI/ASQC Q9001-2008 and ISO 9001 requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Specialized training equivalent to a four year degree and 6+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of QC concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
