Job summary

Husqvarna Construction in Columbia, SC seeks a Quality Auditor to lead internal audits, measure quality data, and support root-cause analyses for process improvements. The role includes receiving inspection, in-process testing, and documentation control within a fast-paced production environment.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of quality auditing or manufacturing QA experience, ISO 9001:2015 knowledge, and proficiency with measurement tools and SAP. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Internal auditing of Quality System (QMS) experience preferred
  • Experience with data collection and reporting
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Experience with receiving inspection and in-process testing
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • SAP systems knowledge is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Audit Quality System processes and close open audits
  • Collect and validate data for audits and quality metrics
  • Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Perform receiving inspection and in-process testing
  • Provide feedback on deviations to production
  • Back up blade final inspection and segment testing
  • Assist in document control, training, tracking and distribution
  • Contain and sort non-conforming in-process material for suppliers/customers
  • Report evaluation results to Quality Engineer/Manager and Purchasing
  • Follow up on post-corrective actions

Last date to apply:We are continuously accepting applicationsAs Quality Technician at Husqvarna Construction in Columbia, SC, your success is critical for quality control of material and processes used in the manufacture of segments, core drills, and blades and ensuring conformity with established practices and standards.RESPONSIBILITIESInternal Auditing of Quality System (QMS) (60% total)Conducts process audits and follow up closure of open auditsEnsures timely and accurate data collectionSupports department in the root cause analysis and corrective actions for audits findingsPerforms Receiving inspectionProvides immediate feedback to production areas concerning process deviationsQuality Testing and Administration (20% total)Metallographic and Destructive Bend testingPerform in-process product testsAssists in performing first article inspectionsBack-up for Blade Final Inspection and SegmentSupport Team in Document Control- Training, Tracking and DistributionSupport Team in containment and sorting of in-process non-conformancesExternal Customer / Supplier Quality Support (20% total)Containment of non-conforming productSorting of non-conforming materialReporting of evaluation results to Quality Engineer / Quality Manager and or purchasing as appropriate, as well current statusPost-Corrective Action Follow-upPosition-specific CompetenciesRespond quickly and work at faster pace than normal, while getting resultsAble to work with and through teams to get resultsStrong Mathematical aptitude, including, all units of measure, common fractions and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Effective Oral and written communication skills, with ability to collaborate and influence cross functional teams.CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGEStrong quality systems knowledge ISO 9001 :2015Strong measuring tool application and practice knowledge, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges and optical comparatorsStrong production process and Quality principles knowledge -Lean, Root Cause, 8D etc.Ability to interpret Data and create charts and graphsIntermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge.
