Job summary

Lincoln Electric Automation is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for our LEA manufacturing operation. The Quality Assurance Technician will play a key role in supporting quality checks and other quality related tasks.

Responsibilities include auditing processes, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with AS/ISO standards while collaborating with production and engineering to drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 3+ years of related experience (Machining or Inspection).
• GD&T experience and use of inspection equipment (CMM, calipers, micrometers).
• Familiar with Lean principles, 5S, quality tools and measurement techniques.
• Demonstrated computer skills in MS Office and Windows OS.
• Ability to develop and maintain records and follow projects through to conclusion.
• Excellent oral, written communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products to ensure conformance with customer specifications.
• Provide technical support to production, operations, maintenance, safety, and QA teams.
• Maintain quality data and perform calculations using established procedures.
• Enforce and follow the Quality Management System daily.
• Initiate continuous improvement ideas for process and product quality.
• Administer calibration system and complete PPAP/FAI requirements.
• Serve as Internal Auditor to monitor AS/ISO compliance when required.
• Train and provide feedback to production personnel.

Position Summary

Lincoln Electric Automation is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for our LEA manufacturing operation. The Quality Assurance Technician will play a key role in supportingquality checks and other quality related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect products to ensure conformance with customer specifications.
• Provides technical support to employees in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, or product development.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations.
• Must have an uncompromising attitude towards quality.
• Must thoroughly understand, enforce, and follow the Quality Management System as it applies to all daily activities.
• Encouraged to initiate changes for continuous product and process improvement.
• Maintain manufacturing quality performance metrics and/or quality records.
• Assist with the evaluation, proper identification, and disposition of all non-conforming items and materials.
• Be aware of all products, documents, and process changes in your area of responsibility which affect quality.
• Utilize the Quality Management System and appropriate divisional personnel to support or drive Continuous Improvement
• Assist in the training and performance feedback of production personnel to production supervision.
• Develop and perform random process and product audits.
• Administer calibration system.
• Complete new part PPAP and FAI requirements.
• Update Process Procedures as required.
• Serve as Internal Auditor to monitor Lincoln Electric Automation Compliance to AS/ISO requirements. (when required)
• Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2030 Strategy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma & 3+ years of related experience (Machining or Inspection).
• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) experience
• Use of Inspection equipment (CMM, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Completes a variety of assignments.
• Works within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments.
• Works with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments.
• Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
• Additional technical training in the Quality Assurance field or Root Cause Analysis is highly desirable
• Demonstrated computer skills in MS Office and Windows operating system.
• Basic knowledge of Lean principles, 5S, quality assurance tools, procedures, measurement techniques
• Ability to develop and maintain records and to follow projects through to conclusion.
• Excellent oral, written communication and people skills
• Excellent organizational skills to manage a constantly changing set of priorities with minimal supervision
