Job summary

Lincoln Electric Automation in Coldwater, OH is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support quality checks and related tasks at the LEA manufacturing operation. You will inspect products to ensure conformance with customer specifications, provide technical support to production and maintenance, and help maintain quality records for continuous improvement.

This hourly, full-time role offers $25–$35 per hour with a 5% target bonus and opportunities to grow within a global leader in welding

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 3+ years in machining or inspection.
  • GD&T experience.
  • Experience with inspection equipment (CMM, calipers, micrometers).
  • Strong documentation and data handling skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean, 5S, quality tools.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Lincoln Electric Automation is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for our LEA manufacturing operation. The Quality Assurance Technician will play a key role in supportingquality checks and other quality related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect products to ensure conformance with customer specifications.
  • Provides technical support to employees in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, or product development.
  • Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations.
  • Must have an uncompromising attitude towards quality.
  • Must thoroughly understand, enforce, and follow the Quality Management System as it applies to all daily activities.
  • Encouraged to initiate changes for continuous product and process improvement.
  • Maintain manufacturing quality performance metrics and/or quality records.
  • Assist with the evaluation, proper identification, and disposition of all non-conforming items and materials.
  • Be aware of all products, documents, and process changes in your area of responsibility which affect quality.
  • Utilize the Quality Management System and appropriate divisional personnel to support or drive Continuous Improvement
  • Assist in the training and performance feedback of production personnel to production supervision.
  • Develop and perform random process and product audits.
  • Administer calibration system.
  • Complete new part PPAP and FAI requirements.
  • Update Process Procedures as required.
  • Serve as Internal Auditor to monitor Lincoln Electric Automation Compliance to AS/ISO requirements. (when required)
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2030 Strategy.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma & 3+ years of related experience (Machining or Inspection).
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) experience
  • Use of Inspection equipment (CMM, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Completes a variety of assignments.
  • Works within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments.
  • Works with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments.
  • Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Additional technical training in the Quality Assurance field or Root Cause Analysis is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated computer skills in MS Office and Windows operating system.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean principles, 5S, quality assurance tools, procedures, measurement techniques
  • Ability to develop and maintain records and to follow projects through to conclusion.
  • Excellent oral, written communication and people skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage a constantly changing set of priorities with minimal supervision
