Job summary

ArtiFlex Group in Clyde, OH seeks a Quality Technician to maintain the gauge calibration system and QA lab, and to perform layouts and capability studies. You will use metrology equipment and document results, support production with fixtures, and assist in root-cause analysis and training of operators.

The role requires familiarity with GD&T, CMM/scanners, and Microsoft Excel. Lifting up to 40 pounds is necessary and prior IATF 16949 experience is valued.

Qualifications

• GRR (gauge R&R) studies are preferred.
• Familiar with GD&T and interpreting technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the gauge calibration system and Quality lab.

• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Quality TechnicianGeneral DescriptionThe Quality Technician is responsible to maintain the gauge calibration system and Quality lab. The Quality Technician is also responsible for performing part layouts, gauge layouts, and capability studies. The Quality Technician reports to the Quality Manager.ResponsibilitiesSupport and follow the Company Safety ProgramsSupport and follow Quality & Environmental ProgramsFollow systems to maintain the gauge calibration, sample and metrology lab in compliance with the requirements of IATF 16949Use metrology equipment, check fixtures, hand tools to perform part layouts, gauge layouts, and gauge studies and document results.Monitor production schedule and provide samples, fixtures and other tools as needed.Use system for receiving and maintaining fixtures, gages and samplesAssist with problem solving – root cause analysis – corrective & preventative actionsAssist with training and instruction for production operators in QA measuring proceduresDevelopment and maintenance of quality procedures and work instructionsSupport all quality processes for the Clyde facilityOther duties as required.Preferred QualificationsHigh School diploma or GEDAbility to lift 40 pounds unassistedPerform Gauge Reliability and Reproducibility (GRR) studies.Previous experience in management of gauge calibration systems in compliance withIATF 16949 requirements.Monitor production processing via product auditsAbility to comprehend technical specifications, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT), and math data.Familiar with the use of a CMM, scanners, hand tools and other measurement equipment.Computer literate (proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word).Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred.Ability to communicate orally and in writing.Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shifts as needed.Job LocationPerformed in the office, quality lab, and on the production floor.
