Job summary

Arcmed is seeking a detail‑oriented QA/QC specialist to support incoming, in-process and final inspections in a lean ISO environment. You will document nonconformances, assist CAPA activities, and maintain accurate quality records while collaborating with Production and Engineering to prevent defects and improve processes.

Responsibilities include using calipers, micrometers and gauges, performing root cause investigations, internal audits, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in QC/QA in a Lean and ISO environment.
  • Familiar with the use of inspection hand gauging; sound measuring techniques with complex test equipment and critical measurements.
  • Maintain accurate records & measurement analysis equipment.
  • Ability to embrace direction and work effectively within a team setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand blueprints and GD&T techniques.
  • Must work independently with good time management and multitasking skills.
  • Initiative and drive for continuous improvement.
  • Proactively increase in learning or skills.
  • Maintain accurate and timely transactions with the company’s enterprise software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and products using established procedures and specifications.
  • Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming or discrepant product.
  • Support containment activities to prevent external quality escapes.
  • Review manufacturing documentation, inspection records, and quality data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Utilize measuring and test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Support root cause investigations and CAPA activities.
  • Assist with internal audits, process audits, and quality system compliance activities.
  • Monitor production quality trends and communicate risks or recurring issues to leadership.
  • Collaborate with Production and Engineering to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and inspection documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
  • Assist Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering in new manufacturing development which may include: First article inspections, Inspection Sheet definition and documentation, Work instruction development.
  • Adopt and implement procedure improvements to streamline operations in Quality department
  • Maintain calibration control and management of program
  • Assist with setting up inspection equipment for complex measurement requirements in production and QC
  • Promote safe and healthful work practices while maximizing yields and minimizing costs.

Support Operations (Engineering, Commercial, Production, Quality and Finance) in providing cost-effective and reliable products and solutions. Proactively identify discrepant product, reduce external escapes, and anticipate daily challenges with an emphasis on risk control, product quality, and continual improvement.
