US Farathane is seeking a Quality Technician to support the Quality Management System and ensure that products and processes meet all internal, customer, and applicable quality requirements. The Quality Technician will perform inspections, audits, testing, documentation, and problem-solving activities to support production and maintain customer satisfaction.

Perform in-process, final, receiving, and dock inspections as required.
Inspect products and processes to ensure compliance with customer specifications, control plans, work instructions, and internal quality requirements.
Use measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and other inspection instruments.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Perform dimensional and visual inspections and accurately document inspection results.
Maintain and monitor SPC charts and other quality data as required.
Identify and communicate nonconforming material and product quality concerns to appropriate personnel.
Assist with containment activities, sorting, rework, and verification of corrective actions.
Support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities, including 8D and corrective action processes.
Assist with Gage R&R studies, capability studies, and other measurement system activities.
Support internal audits and customer-specific quality requirements.
Monitor documentation and quality records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assist production personnel with understanding quality standards, inspection requirements, and quality alerts.
Escalate quality issues that could impact production, customers, or product shipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all internal safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and US Farathane policies and procedures.
Support a team-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical degree or additional quality-related education preferred.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or automotive quality environment preferred.
Experience with plastic injection molding manufacturing is preferred.
Knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing quality standards preferred.
Experience with inspection techniques and measurement equipment required or preferred based on experience level.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
Knowledge of basic quality inspection techniques.
Familiarity with SPC, Gage R&R, capability studies, and basic statistical methods preferred.
Experience with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with production associates, supervisors, engineers, and management.
Ability to work independently while functioning effectively in a team environment.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and quality data entry systems.
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, quality standards, safety procedures, and technical documents. Ability to write clear and accurate inspection records and reports. Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

Frequent use of hands to handle parts and inspection equipment.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching.
Ability to visually inspect products and identify defects.
