Job summary

AAON, Inc. in Redmond, Oregon is seeking entry-level assemblers to support our fast-paced HVAC production lines. You will rotate through assembly, piping, electrical, finishing, testing and wrapping to learn multiple trade skills and grow your manufacturing career.

This role is ideal for individuals starting their career in manufacturing who are comfortable working in a dynamic team environment, meeting quality standards, and following established procedures on the shop floor.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2+ years of related experience is helpful but not required.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and principles is expected.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively and work with others.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect all aspects and attributes of incoming, in-process or finished equipment to company standards.
  • Maintain accuracy of inspection data reporting.
  • Perform inspections during assembly and after completion to identify defects.
  • Refer results to supervisor for analysis and action.
  • Evaluate parts against standards using blueprints or drawings.
  • Quarantine non-conforming material and process accordingly.
  • Assist in designing methods to inspect product quality.
  • Use inspection paperwork and systems for documentation.

Position Overview

Work for one of the fastest growing companies in Central Oregon, building state‑of‑the‑art commercial HVAC systems! We are currently hiring Entry‑Level Assemblers to support our production operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to start their career in manufacturing and gain valuable experience in a dynamic work environment. Work on our fast‑paced assembly line rotating between positions such as assembly, piping, electrical, finishing, testing, and wrapping. Learn multiple trade skills and develop your career in manufacturing!

Responsibilities
  • Inspect all aspects and attributes of incoming, in‑process or finished manufactured equipment and/or sub‑assemblies to company standards and determine acceptance or rejection.
  • Maintain accuracy of reporting inspection data.
  • Perform inspections during assembly phase and after completion to identify design workmanship defects.
  • Report results to lead or supervisor for analysis and necessary action.
  • Evaluate parts or assemblies against standards by reviewing blueprints, schematics, or drawings.
  • Quarantine non‑conforming material and complete the non‑conforming material process.
  • Help design and implement methods and procedures to inspect the quality level of products.
  • Utilize QC inspection paperwork and electronic systems to fulfill inspection and record‑keeping requirements.
  • Complete reports indicating inspection results or condition of shipments of materials.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of related experience.
  • Previous QC experience helpful, but can be learned on the job.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of all manufacturing processes.
  • Able to use and read measuring tools.
  • Thorough understanding of submittals and product designs.
  • Able to work independently and with others.
  • Able to interface with all levels of manufacturing personnel.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and principles.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
