Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing setting
• High school degree; additional qualifications are a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail to identify defects and inconsistencies
• Technical knowledge of the production process, materials and quality standards
• Analytical skills to interpret data from testing processes
• Mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations
• Problem-solving skills to identify root causes and propose solutions
• Strong communication to relay quality issues to teams and management
• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 40 lbs; basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Inspect output samples using industry-appropriate methods
• Verify assembly lines adhere to standards and procedures
• Read blueprints and manuals to determine specs and inspection procedures
• Record inspection results and input data into quality database
• Train production team on quality control measures
• Propose improvements to the production process
• Use gauges to measure products and assist calibration processes
• Collect and compile statistical quality data
• Assist in developing test methods and inspection plans
• Help determine causes of defects and reworks
• Discard items not meeting specifications
• Discuss results with product owners and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain Document Control
