Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on products from foil printing, die-cutting, and IML processes to ensure specifications and customer standards.
  • Verify print quality through color proofing and visual checks.
  • Measure components using rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers to confirm dimensional accuracy.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conformities in real time to prevent defects.
  • Perform repetitive inspection tasks with accuracy and consistency throughout the shift.
  • Complete all inspection records in a timely manner.
  • Follow Safety Standards, SOPs, GMPs, and internal quality procedures.
  • Apply SPC, SQF, and HACCP standards to evaluate product quality.
  • Maintain familiarity with production processes including flexographic printing, die-cutting, and IML with labels.
  • Use Windows OS and Microsoft Office for data entry and reporting.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds as needed during inspections.

Job description

1. Perform visual and dimensional inspections on products from foil printing, die-cutting, and injection molding (IML) processes to ensure compliance with specifications and customer standards.

2. Verify print quality through color proofing and visual checks; must have the ability to distinguish colors accurately (color vision required).

3. Measure components using precision tools such as rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers to confirm dimensional accuracy.

4. Identify, document, and report non-conformities or deviations in real time to prevent defective product release.

5. Perform repetitive inspection tasks with accuracy and consistency throughout the shift.

6. Accurately complete all required documentation and inspection records in a timely manner.

7. Follow and enforce all applicable Safety Standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and internal quality system procedures.

8. Apply knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control), SQF, and HACCP standards to evaluate and maintain product quality.

9. Maintain familiarity with production processes, including flexographic printing, die-cutting, and injection molding with IML labels.

10. Utilize computers for quality data entry and reporting; proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.

11. Lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds as needed during inspections or sampling.

12. Maintain a clean and organized work area, complying with plant safety and hygiene standards.

13. Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to shift changes or covering for fellow employees when needed.

14. Understand and follow company policies and safety protocols at all times.

15. Exhibit the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision while maintaining a high level of accountability.

16. Participate in cross-functional team support and perform additional duties as assigned by management in support of quality operations.
