Job summary

Multimatic-In is seeking a detail‑oriented quality professional to act as a liaison between Quality and Manufacturing. The role involves auditing, enforcing, and training associates on the quality policy, and supporting root-cause analysis and containment efforts.

You will read blueprints with GD&T, manage non-conforming materials, perform audits, and assist engineers with PPAP, ICPs, and control plans. Domestic travel may be required and a high school diploma with relevant experience is

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 2+ years in quality field preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply blueprints/ GD&T.
• Ability to write instructions, procedures and reports.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Audit and maintain in-process inspection reports.
• Assist with capability studies, Gage R&R, and process variance analysis.
• Issue gages to production and manage non-conforming materials.
• Update ICPs and control plans; assist PPAP activities.
• Support Quality Manager and Engineers on audits and 8D assignments.

Audit, enforce and train other associates on all aspects of the quality policy. Should be self-directed and work well with minimal supervision.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.GD&T – Must be able to read, interpret and understand blue prints.Production Process – Should have a general knowledge of several production processes and how parts are produced and how characteristics impact downstream customers.Hold non-conforming materials (use inventory management).Sort through non-conforming material as necessary to aid in disposition.File and maintain in-process inspection reports.Assist Quality Technicians perform capability studies, Gage R&R’s and analyze process variances.Assist with running any extra testing required as part of validation process after quarantine.Problem solves (work with operations on shift to determine root cause of material on hold and make the appropriate changes to limit the amount of material placed on hold).Perform control plan audits. Work with Quality Engineers to update control plans as needed.Perform Process/Product and LPA Audits.Issue gages to production as necessary.Assist with or answer 8D assignments on customer rejects.Update ICP’s as needed for various programs as assigned.Ability to generate new form/work instructions/checksheets.Assist the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer as assigned and with PPAP’s.Fill in for Quality Technicians and Weld Analyst positions when needed.Must have the ability to make quality decisions on production parts when necessary.Assist with organization and set up of outside sort or rework activities (Vendor)Assist and maintain internal sort criteria and instructions.Collect and input production information into Quality databases.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
