R.W. Screw Products, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician in Massillon, OH. The role covers diverse inspection tasks and SP Coperations to ensure product quality meets high standards.

You will read blueprints, set up gauging, verify instruments, and support production in resolving quality issues. The position requires strong attention to detail and prior experience in precision machining, preferably with TS 16949/IATF familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5-10 years of experience in a precision machining environment.
• Quality assurance background in automotive is a plus (TS 16949/IATF).
• Able to read blueprints and use measuring devices including SPC.

Responsibilities

• Performs first piece, shop floor sampling, final inspection and SPC operations.
• Completes a wide variety of QA activities.
• Interprets work pieces, plans and inspection procedures; makes judgement on acceptability.
• Devises gauging and measuring set-ups.
• Checks calibration of instruments and maintains QA documentation.
• Assists production operators in identifying defect causes and quality issues.

Job Description

Quality Assurance Technician:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but are not limited to:

• Performs highly diversified first piece, shop floor sampling, final inspection and Statistical Process Control operations.
• Completes a wide variety of QA activities.
• Knows application of work pieces, plans and schedules inspection procedures for others, makes decisions on allowable variations exercising considerable judgment relative to acceptability of pieces compared to standards.
• Devises gaging and measuring set-ups.
• Checks calibration of instruments and maintains documentation for variety of QA areas.
• May assist production operators in determining reasons for defects.
• Able to assist customers with quality issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5-10 years of experience in a precision machining environment.
• Quality assurance in automotive and TS 16949/IATF background a plus.
• Ability to comprehend blueprints and use applicable measuring devices including SPC.
