Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Team Lead – Quality to guide a team of hourly inspectors and technicians in a Richmond, VA production environment. You will ensure safe, productive work and drive key quality metrics while coordinating with supervisors and engineering.

This role emphasizes leadership, training, and continuous improvement. The position requires a high school diploma or GED with quality-control experience, plus preferred ASQ certification and tooling proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED with quality control exposure.
• ASQ or equivalent certification is preferred, plus technical training.
• Experience reading wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly drawings is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities in work area to meet production goals.
• Perform tasks of Inspectors and Techs as needed.
• Lead Daily Huddle meetings and communicate performance expectations.
• Serve as technical resource for Quality areas and provide guidance.
• Identify non-conformances and coordinate with operations/engineering to address deficiencies.
• Provide training on required tasks and ensure PPE and safety protocols are followed.
• Monitor team performance and report on defined metrics.
• Ensure thorough shift handovers and clear communication with supervisors.
• Identify parts and descriptions using work orders; maintain clean handover between shifts.
• Understand company policies and involve HR/Safety to handle issues.
• Assist in developing and implementing quality tools and guides.
