Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Systems Specialist - Training Specialist in Foster City, CA, to design risk-based, compliant training aligned with Quality System expectations. You will translate strategy into effective, inspection-ready deliverables and support governance, records, and LMS metrics.

The role demands 6–8+ years in regulated pharma/biotech/medical device, strong independent judgment, and data-driven decision making to balance regulatory expectations with operational needs.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of experience in a regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device environment.
• Experience in GxP training, Quality Systems, or compliance.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment on training impact and compliance-driven learning decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and data-driven rationale for training decisions.
• Familiarity with LMS functionality, training data, and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Partner with SMEs and leaders to assess training impact for governance procedures.
• Apply a risk-based approach to determine training requirements and delivery methods.
• Optimize curricula and role-based assignments to align with responsibilities and Quality expectations.
• Translate learning strategy into compliant training deliverables with stakeholders.
• Serve as Training Subject Matter Expert advising cross-functional partners on compliant training approaches.
• Independently analyze cross-functional training impacts and propose practical solutions.
• Support design and execution of site training programs meeting compliance goals.
• Govern training content, records, and metrics per policies and regulations.
• Support LMS administration and use training data to inform decisions.
• Coordinate training activities within defined objectives and timelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve training efficiency and learner experience.
• Provide additional training and quality support as directed.
