Job summary

MacLean Power Systems (MPS) seeks a Quality Systems & Laboratory Manager to lead the Locust Grove and Wood Dale facilities with responsibility for the QMS, laboratory operations, testing programs, and incoming product quality. This role ensures ISO 9001 certification and translates customer and regulatory requirements into robust controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline; 7–10 years in quality systems.
• Leadership experience managing quality systems and technical operations.
• Experience with ISO 9001 certification activities and auditing.
• Knowledge of calibration, metrology, and laboratory testing processes.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead ISO 9001 QMS at Locust Grove and support Wood Dale for continued certification and compliance.
• Serve as site quality representative with customers, regulators, and external bodies.
• Develop, implement, and improve quality procedures, inspection plans, and testing protocols.
• Provide leadership for laboratory operations, calibration, and testing capabilities.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness.
