Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Elkton, MD is seeking a Quality Systems Assistant 5 in the Inspection department. The role focuses on verifying incoming materials meet engineering requirements, reviewing drawings, and supporting First Article Inspections.

The successful candidate will interpret blueprints, tolerate overtime, and assist Manufacturing and Engineering on part conformance. A Secret clearance is required; relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 8 years in inspection.
• 5+ years using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience reading blueprints and GD&T.
• Able to interact with Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
• Safety oriented; able to work overtime; explosive components.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming materials to ensure conformance with specs.
• Complete inspections per process control documents and drawings.
• Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and data analysis.
• Prepare hardware/material packages for external customers.
