Job summary

Rea Magnet Wire Corp in Fort Wayne, IN, is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to strengthen customer and manufacturing quality. You will act as a liaison across customers, operations, engineering and quality teams, investigating complaints, driving root-cause analysis, and leading corrective actions to reduce defects and improve process capability.

You will support IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certification, manage APQP/PPAP submissions, audits, and document control, and train staff on quality tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant field.
• Five years of experience in a manufacturing quality engineering role.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Minitab or equivalent for SPC/DOE.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers on quality issues and provide corrective actions.
• Prepare PPAP and APQP documentation.
• Lead structured problem-solving using quality tools.
• Apply SPC/DOE methods to analyze process capability.
• Lead ISO/IATF audits and maintain the QMS.
• Train teams on quality standards.
