Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field.
• Experience in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GFSI requirements.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety Plans, GMPs, internal audits, and corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing, quality, safety, regulatory and customer compliance.
• PCQI certification (may be obtained within 1 year).
• Lead Auditor certification (may be obtained within 1 year).
• Willing to work onsite in Lithonia, GA 4 days/week; 1 day hybrid.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Quality Management System per BRC and Griffith Foods requirements.
• Respond to customer compliance and food safety requests and complete documentation.
• Coordinate HACCP and Food Safety Plan activities; serve on HACCP team.
• Conduct internal, customer, third-party audits and regulatory inspections.
• Track audit findings and develop corrective action plans.
• Manage quality policies, procedures, databases, records and compliance docs.
• Support food safety culture, training, and continuous improvement.
• Investigate customer complaints related to food safety and quality systems.
• Support commercialization and first-batch approvals to ensure compliance.
• Develop reports, track compliance metrics, and maintain spreadsheets/databases.

Griffith Foods is hiring a Quality Systems Compliance Coordinator to develop and maintain the Quality Management System for the Lithonia facility, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, customer requirements, and Griffith Foods standards while supporting continuous improvement, audit readiness, and FSQS compliance programs.

LOCATION: Hybrid in Lithonia, GA

COMP RANGE: $72,000 - $107,000 annually

As a Quality Systems Compliance Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and maintaining the Quality Management System in accordance with BRC and Griffith Foods requirements.
• Responding to customer compliance and food safety requests and completing customer-required documentation.
• Coordinating HACCP and Food Safety Plan activities and serving as a member of the HACCP team.
• Conducting and supporting internal audits, customer audits, third-party audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Tracking audit findings and developing corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Managing quality policies, procedures, databases, records, and compliance documentation.
• Supporting food safety culture initiatives, training programs, and continuous improvement activities throughout the facility.
• Investigating and addressing customer complaints related to food safety and quality systems.
• Supporting commercialization and first-batch approval activities to ensure compliance with food safety requirements and customer expectations.
• Developing reports, tracking compliance metrics, and maintaining spreadsheets and databases to support internal and customer requirements

The Quality Systems Compliance Coordinator position is well-suited for you if you:

• Build strong cross-functional relationships to foster collaboration and achieve business objectives.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Food Science related field
• Food manufacturing experience required
• Knowledge of GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) requirements is required
• Working knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety Plans, GMPs, internal auditing, and corrective action processes.
• Strong understanding of the food manufacturing industry, including quality, food safety, regulatory, and customer compliance requirements.
• PCQI (Preventative Controls Qualified Individual) Certification (may be obtained within one year of assuming the position)
• Lead Auditor Certification (may be obtained within one year of assuming the position)
• Willingness to work onsite in LITHONIA, GA 4 days per week, 1 day hybrid
• Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

This role is affiliated to the LITHONIA, GA location, and candidates for this role need to reside within a commutable distance of that location and will be required to come into that location. You may be asked to travel to other locations periodically for meetings.
