Job summary

Calgon Carbon Corporation, a Kuraray Company, is seeking a Corporate Quality Systems & Certifications Manager to lead QMS development and certification programs across U.S. operations.

This role provides leadership to a small team and partners with Operations, Regulatory, R&D, Supply Chain and Commercial functions to support business objectives and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years' experience managing QMS (ISO 9001) and 7–10 years in Quality, Regulatory Compliance,

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university is required (Quality Management, Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Business, or a related discipline)
• A master’s degree or equivalent is preferred
• 5-7 years of experience managing and/or administering Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 9001 is required
• 7-10 years of experience with Quality, Quality Systems, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, or related functions is required
• Experience planning, leading, and supporting internal, external, customer, and certification audits is preferred
• Demonstrated experience managing third-party certification programs, such as NSF, Kosher, Halal, or similar certification schemes is preferred
• Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Regulatory, R&D, Supply Chain, Sales, and Commercial teams is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead certification-related activities for NSF, Kosher, Halal, and other product or facility certifications
• Liaise with certification bodies, auditors, and external agencies
• Develop and coach direct reports with goals and development plans
• Maintain corporate policies, procedures, and quality system documentation
• Partner with site quality teams to ensure consistent implementation of quality system and certification requirements
• Track certification status, audit performance, and corrective actions
• Coordinate internal, external, customer, and certification audits and resolve findings
• Own and maintain ISO 9001 QMS, including procedures and management reviews
• Monitor regulatory and certification changes and update programs
• Provide training on quality system and certification requirements
