Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions partnering with a growing organization seeks a Quality & Supplier Compliance Specialist to drive supplier quality initiatives and quality systems in distribution. This role collaborates across Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Customer Service to resolve quality concerns and create sustainable processes.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in a related field, 3+ years in quality/compliance, and ASQ or ISO auditor certifications preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
ASQ certifications are preferred: CQA, CQE, ISO Internal Auditor, Lean Six Sigma.
3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supplier Quality, Compliance, or related field.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management principles.
Experience managing supplier relationships and supplier quality performance.
Experience handling customer complaints, investigations, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Monitor and evaluate supplier quality performance through audits, scorecards, corrective actions, and ongoing performance reviews.
Partner with suppliers to drive quality improvements and ensure compliance with company standards.
Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics and reporting tools.
Investigate customer quality concerns and complaints from identification through resolution.
Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to maintain high levels of satisfaction and product quality.
Provide technical support related to quality documentation and compliance requirements.
Support and enhance the organization's Quality Management System.
Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 standards and established quality procedures.
Maintain quality records, certifications, specifications, audit documents, and compliance data.
Assist with internal audits and supplier audits as required.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
Analyze quality data and develop actionable recommendations.
Lead or participate in quality improvement projects that reduce defects and enhance supplier performance.
Support the development of quality metrics, dashboards, and performance reporting.
Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and supplier partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
Professional quality certifications are preferred: ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO Internal Auditor Certification, and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification.
3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supplier Quality, Compliance, or a related function.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management principles.
Experience managing supplier relationships and supplier quality performance.
Experience handling customer complaints, investigations, and corrective actions.
Background within packaging, distribution, plastics, manufacturing, industrial products, or related industries.
Experience conducting supplier audits and compliance reviews.

Compensation Range: $75,000 - $90,000 + 7% Bonus
