LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a motivated Quality & Supplier Compliance Specialist – Distribution Industry to join their team. This highly visible position will play a critical role in driving supplier quality initiatives, customer satisfaction, compliance programs, and continuous improvement efforts across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Quality & Performance Management:
- Monitor and evaluate supplier quality performance through audits, scorecards, corrective actions, and ongoing performance reviews.
- Partner with suppliers to drive quality improvements and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics and reporting tools.
Customer Quality Support:
- Investigate customer quality concerns and complaints from initial issue identification through resolution.
- Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to maintain high levels of satisfaction and product quality.
- Provide technical support related to quality documentation and compliance requirements.
Quality Systems & Compliance:
- Support and enhance the organization's Quality Management System.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 standards and established quality procedures.
- Maintain quality records, certifications, specifications, audit documents, and compliance data.
- Assist with internal audits and supplier audits as required.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Analyze quality data and develop actionable recommendations.
- Lead or participate in quality improvement projects that reduce defects and enhance supplier performance.
- Support the development of quality metrics, dashboards, and performance reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and supplier partners.
- Serve as a subject matter resource on quality and compliance-related matters.
- Help ensure consistent quality expectations throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
- Professional quality certifications are preferred: ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO Internal Auditor Certification, and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification.
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supplier Quality, Compliance, or a related function.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management principles.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and supplier quality performance.
- Experience handling customer complaints, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Background within packaging, distribution, plastics, manufacturing, industrial products, or related industries.
- Experience conducting supplier audits and compliance reviews.
Compensation Range: $75,000 - $90,000 + 7% Bonus
