Nucor Towers & Structures in Crawfordsville, IN is seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead a quality culture across the division, ensure safety and drive continuous improvement. The role manages day-to-day quality activities, mentors the quality team, and aligns with procedures and audits to minimize risk.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in fabrication quality, audits, customer interactions, and knowledge of AWS D1.1 and NDT methods (UT/MT/VT).

Qualifications

• 5 years of direct experience in a Quality Management role for a fabrication shop.
• Experience with AISC or ISO certifications and related audits.
• Experience in customer interactions, audits and field issue resolution.
• Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and NDT methods UT, MT, VT.

Responsibilities

• Lead and foster a culture of quality at the operating location.
• Engage team and improve safety of all operations.
• Direct day-to-day quality activities at the division.
• Build, coach and mentor the quality team at the division.
• Track and report on quality performance, re-work, back charges.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and audit established procedures.
• Identify potential areas of risk and make recommendations.

Basic Job Functions:

Seeking a creative, forward-thinking, process-minded, effective communicator to join our team. The Quality Supervisor's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Leading and fostering a culture of quality at their operating location.
• Engage team and improve Safety of all NTS operations.
• Directly responsible for day-to-day quality activities at their division.
• Directly responsible for building, coaching and mentoring the quality team at their division.
• Tracking and reporting on quality performance, back charges, re-work, etc for all departments.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and audit established procedures internally and externally, Lead, train, coach, and develop Quality Department personnel on quality requirements, procedures,
• Identify potential areas of risk and make recommendations.

This position will be in Crawfordsville, IN but may require occasional travel to other production facilities, job sites, vendors/suppliers, etc. on an as required basis.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 years of direct experience in a Quality Management role for an AISC or ISO certified fabrication shop
• Experience with AISC certifications and related audit processes
• Experience in customer interactions, audits, and field issue resolution
• Working knowledge of AWS D1.1
• Knowledge of NDT Methods such as UT, MT, and VT
