Job summary

MSI Express, INC in Portage, IN is seeking a Quality Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead the quality department, drive safety, sanitation, and product quality, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
• 5+ years in Quality with exposure to QA and Food Safety.
• Statistical Process Control knowledge is desirable.
• Understanding of regulatory guidelines desirable.
• Customer interaction experience desirable.
• Management skills for both salaried and hourly staff essential.
• Strong organizational skills essential.
• Sensory knowledge desirable.
• Food or pharmaceutical knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and training in quality, food safety, plant safety sanitation, good manufacturing practices, and customer service.
• Maintain communication across departments to meet production priorities and shortfalls to avoid impacting customer service.
• Establish and review HACCP programs.
• Conduct Customer, regulatory, and in-house audits.
• Monitor plant performance and develop/implement action plans to address areas of concern.
• Maintain understanding of customer requirements and develop QA standards and specs.
• Adhere to customer Quality policies and procedures as stated in manuals.
• Create a positive working environment for associates and support continuous improvement, enforcing company policies.
• Ensure records, validations, and changes to SQF are maintained.

Will ensure that the quality of all products produced within the production facility will be done so in a safe and wholesome manner.
