Job summary

Wausau Supply Company is seeking a Quality Supervisor for its Taylor Entrance System. The role focuses on developing and executing the quality system, supervising staff, and ensuring products meet customer standards.

You will work on robust quality plans, audits, and CAPA programs on the production floor, collaborating with operations, engineering, and suppliers to improve yield and reduce defects.

Qualifications

• B.S. Engineering, Business, or equivalent
• LSSGB or other relevant certification preferred

Responsibilities

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BE DOING:

Summary: The Taylor Entrance System's Quality Supervisor is responsible for development and daily execution of Wausau Supply's quality system. The position is responsible for direct supervision of quality staff, ensuring timely completion of quality tasks, and effective implementation of quality related policies and process. The quality supervisor maintains close working relationships with other department staff, suppliers, and other stakeholders to solve and prevent problems affective product quality.

Requirements

Duties to include, (but not limited to):

• Develops and upholds the policies and procedures within Taylor Entrance System's quality management system.
• Provides direction to and oversee daily execution and performance of quality team members.
• Establishes and enforces standards that meet the requirements of Wausau Supply customers.
• Standardized processes for responding to adverse events across the enterprise
• Ensures effective control plans and testing procedures are developed for new and existing products and processes.
• Develops and implements effective auditing programs that ensure desired quality outcomes.
• Develops and executes internal and supplier corrective action process.
• Maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Trains internal team members on quality methods, including root cause analysis.
• Project manages resources in quality improvement efforts that lead to measurable cost reductions.
• Develops quality KPIs and reports results to all levels of the organization.
• Facilitates NAMI and Intertek audits.

Quality Supervisor Demonstrates:

• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
• Visible on the production floor supporting operations and engineering
• Thorough understanding of quality management system and processes including PPAP, control plans, and CAPA
• Excellent time management; Ability to evaluate and prioritize efforts and resources toward the highest impact opportunities
• Strong analytical skills; ability collect and evaluate data
• Strong understanding of metrology, measurement tools/technologies, and coating/color/appearance evaluation techniques

Education / Experience:

• B.S. Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience and qualifications
• LSSGB or other relevant certification preferred

Working Demands / Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up 50 - 75 pounds
• 80% on the production floor, 20% office functions
