Job summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking a quality-focused leader to oversee process control and drive key performance indicators across manufacturing operations. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure adherence to ISO/TS16949 guidelines, and champion continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.

The role requires 3+ years in automotive quality, leadership experience, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years proven experience in quality and process control in automotive manufacturing.
• Certified as an ISO/TS16949 Lead Assessor (Preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence behavior and perform analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project (or similar).
• Fluent in English (reading and writing).
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience.

Job Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

Qualifications Necessary To Do The Job

• Minimum 3 years proven experience in quality and process control in automotive manufacturing.
• Certified as an ISO/TS16949 Lead Assessor (Preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence behavior through positive dialogue and have strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Proficient in computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project (or similar).
• Fluent in English (reading and writing).
• Minimum (2) years leadership experience.

Main Duties

• Actively support succession planning initiatives to ensure future leaders are developed and ready for new challenges and opportunities within the department and the company.
• Provide leadership oversite of inspection gates to ensure critical checks are in place and maintained to prevent repeat failures
• Update, based on an established frequency, all Decostar key performance indicators and participate actively in improving the overall performance of the facility.
• Management and maintain quality feedback information including Liaison and EOL data
• Coordinate the development and maintenance of the TS 16949 -Quality management systems by:
• Lead cross-functional meetings as needed in development or progress reporting activities (Open Issues, Timeline…)
• Coordinate the registration and surveillance of 3rd party quality systems audits
• Assist the ISO14000 process and its systems development
• Actively participate in presentations to management and the customer as required.
• Support the development of Control Plans for the Manufacturing Departments and Sequencing Operation(s) per QS 9000 guidelines.
• Coordinate the collection and manage the distribution of non-conformance data relative to Customer concerns, PPM’s and Complaint Reports.
• Supervise the efforts and schedules of Control Plan Administrators
• Conduct random audits of the manufacturing procedures and work guidance and manage Control Plan Administrator LPA schedule
• Conduct random audits of finished goods
• Interface with the Metrology group to maintain a proactive approach to product dimensional characteristics and the effective implementation of product gaging per the customer control plan and measurement schedules.
• Coordinate sort of materials required to address customer concerns with Decostar’s Liaisons, Department Leader(s) and Control Plan Administrators/Team Leaders.
• Support Quality Engineering team in problem solving activities and containment efforts
• Perform other duties as assigned
