Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a qualified Quality Manager to develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures, SOPs, and inspection plans across multiple shifts at our Alamo, TN site. You will ensure compliance for incoming, in-process, and final inspections, lead CAPA efforts, and drive data-driven improvements.

The role requires supervising a large team, coordinating with engineering and supplier quality, and maintaining calibration and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience with quality management systems and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Experience supervising large teams across multiple shifts.
• Knowledge of FAI/PPAP processes and various inspections (incoming, in-process, final).
• Strong documentation and data analysis skills.

Job description

Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures, SOP’s, and inspection plans. Ensure compliance for daily activities including incoming inspection process, FAI/PPAP inspections, in process inspections, and final product verification. Supervise a large team across multiple shifts to ensure continuous support of operations including schedule and performance management. Work closely with engineering, operations, quality, and supplier quality to ensure compliance with internal product standards, and operational standards. Responsible for managing equipment calibration, ensuring adequate lab equipment, and training technicians on utilization of inspection methods and equipment. Identify quality issues and lead corrective and preventive actions to resolve issues. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal standards. Manage documentation, record keeping, and data analysis.
