POSITION: Quality Supervisor



WORKSITE: 3901 Willis Road, Grass Lake, Michigan, 49240, United States



JOB DUTIES: Implement, coordinate, and improve NA OE quality systems at facility. Provide technical support, including training and facilitation, to company staff and plant team members to ensure compliance to internal and external customer requirements, with emphasis on continuous improvement in product quality, cost, and customer satisfaction. Initiate and coordinate corrective action and follow up on all customer-related quality issues. Lead and organize formal and informal problem-solving in the areas of scrap, process capability, and warranty. Provide training in quality systems and related areas such as APQP, BOS, problem-solving, statistical process control, gage review and DOE. Support compliance with external customer requirements. Interface with design / process engineering, purchasing, manufacturing plants and customers on new product / process launches. Ensure that customer requirements are addressed. Conduct system and product audits. Assist in maintaining ISO certification. Coordinate / facilitate continuous improvement in system compliance, product quality, customer satisfaction, cost of quality, etc. Provide risk assessment to the manufacturing and facility managers on customer design / quality issues. Submit monthly plant quality KPI's to interested team members. Coordinate corrective action responses to the customer. Provide direction to Quality Technicians responsible for measuring product and calibrating instruments and gauges.



MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely-related degree field.



MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of experience as Manufacturing Engineer, Automotive Engineer, Quality Engineer, or Supplier Quality Specialist or a closely-related engineering occupation.



SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The required five (5) years of experience as Manufacturing Engineer, Automotive Engineer, Quality Engineer, or Supplier Quality Specialist or a closely related engineering occupation must have involved OE quality systems and requirements, manufacturing quality engineering in the automotive or auto parts industry, and experience with PPAP, APQP, and FMEA.



TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 5% domestic travel required to other Tenneco plants.



OTHER: May telecommute up to two (2) days per week.
