Job summary

CNH Industrial in Goodfield, Illinois is seeking a Quality Supervisor (1st Shift) to lead quality inspections and sustain the Quality Management System, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance and product reliability.

You will manage a team of quality inspectors, coordinate with other departments, drive process improvements, and report metrics to leadership. A two-year quality/engineering background is required; higher experience and ISO 9001 expertise are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering, Math, Statistics, or a relevant discipline.
• Two or more years of quality assurance/engineering experience in manufacturing with ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of quality inspectors and quality gates, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.
• Develop programs to maintain quality standards for existing products and improvements.
• Establish policies and methods to improve products, materials, and operations.
• Conduct inspections at various production stages to ensure quality and reliability.
• Prepare regular quality metrics reports for management.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints or manufacturing issues.
• Apply quality tools (Fishbone, 5 Whys, FMEA, PDCA, Six Sigma, Kaizen).

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking a Quality Supervisor 1st Shift to join our team in Goodfield. In this role, you will be responsible for activities related to quality including planning, implementation, and sustainment of the company Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities

• Team management - Leading a team of quality inspectors and Quality gates, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation.
• Collaborating with other departments to identify and resolve quality issues, implement process improvements, and prevent defects.
• Develops and implements programs to establish and maintain quality standards of existing products, as well as developing programs to focus employees on quality improvement.
• Develops policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components, and/or operations.
• Conducts inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards
• Develops, assures, and maintains the quality of products and processes, including standard procedures e.g. ISO 9001:2000, Quality Management system, quality audits/reviews, process reengineering, etc.
• Preparing regular reports on quality metrics and performance to management and stakeholders.
• Investigating and resolving customer complaints or manufacturing issues related to the product.
• Development problem solving projects using the quality tools: Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys Analysis, FMEA, Root cause Analysis, PDCA, Six Sigma Tools, Kaizen, etc.
• Demonstrating strong leadership skills, including problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution, and culture influence.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Experience Required

• Associates degree in Engineering, Math, Statistics, or a relevant discipline.
• Two or more years of quality assurance and/or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment including experience with ISO 9001 standards and quality continuous improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality assurance/engineering experience in a manufacturing environment including experience with ISO 9001 standards and quality continuous improvements.
• Strong Assembly experience.
• Welding and paint knowledge.
• Quality Process experience (controls plans and root cause analysis).
• Quality tools for problem Solving - Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys Analysis, FMEA, Root cause Analysis, PDCA, Six Sigma Tools, Kaizen, etc.
• User knowledge of basic MS tools.Continuous Improvement experience.

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $74,625.00 - $99,500.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
