Metalsa is seeking a Quality System leader to oversee the plant's adherence to ISO/TS16949:2009 and ensure the quality system meets customer requirements. You will guide the team to maintain quality across all stages of production.
Key duties include leading quality improvement initiatives, supervising staff, reviewing data, conducting audits, and coordinating corrective actions from raw materials through finished goods delivery at the Elizabethtown site.
Manage the Metalsa Quality System and ensure that plant meets all quality system requirements to maintain the customer Certification, ISO/TS16949: 2009 standard.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Customer service regarding quality performance and customer required testing in our products
Maintain and improve the performance of Quality ratings with the customers
Assure the quality of products from raw materials receipt to finished product delivery
Maintain and improve the quality operating system
Assure the solution of quality problems in products (external and internal)
Promote the continuous improvement in our processes
Provide support in the implementation of new projects
Manage data collection system, ensure timely and accurate data at all times
Manage containment activity daily
Additional responsibilities as required – this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change
EDUCATION
3-5 years of Quality experience or an associate’s degree in a quality-related field with 1-3 years of quality experience
3-5 years of supervisor/leadership experience or leadership courses with 1-3 years of supervisor/leadership experience
Structured training experience with (I.E. SPC. GR&R, PPAP, etc) preferred
Auditing experience preferred
Knowledge of Control plan development experience preferred
Welding experience or proven knowledge required
Automotive manufacturing preferred - specifically quality related experience preferred (manufacturing quality required)
Preferred ASQ Certified
Preferred Program Management experience
TECHNICAL
Ability to understand CMM-reported data preferred
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T preferred
Dimensional gauging experience preferred
