QUALITY SUPERVISOR
DUNCAN, SC (B-SHIFT 7pm-5:45am)

As a member of the Quality Team, the Quality Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring world-class quality standards to produce quality seats that meet and exceed customer specifications and expectations.

The Role:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Investigating, determining root causes, and resolving production build problems.
  2. Resolving manufacturing issues with non-conforming material to ensure supplier quality.
  3. Building strong relationships with customers and responding promptly to concerns or issues.
  4. Reviewing seats returned from customers to determine causes.
  5. Providing direction and assigning work to workers engaged in measuring and testing products, and analyzing data related to materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
  6. Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, customers, or vendors to address and resolve quality-related issues.
  7. Supporting production trials of new materials and providing feedback.
  8. Resolving supplier concerns and assisting with supplier containment functions.
  9. Maintaining high integrity and ethics in dealings with all suppliers.
  10. Performing computer-based tasks such as preparing reports, memos, audits, documents, graphs, etc.
  11. Participating in daily huddle board meetings.
  12. Ensuring compliance with OSHA, Human Rights, Employment Standards, and Labor Relations.
  13. Working safely, reporting hazards, and taking measures to protect oneself and others.
  14. Understanding and meeting the requirements of internal and external customers, and striving for the highest industry standards in quality, value, service, and technology.
  15. Ensuring workplace harassment policies are understood and followed.
  16. Monitoring and controlling the quality of incoming and outgoing materials.
  17. Using and wearing personal protective equipment as required for safety.
  18. Performing additional duties as assigned or necessary for the role.
  19. Participating in plant Kaizen events.
  20. Evaluating process capability through regular audits in collaboration with production and engineering teams.

Your Qualifications:

  1. 3 to 5 years of experience in a Quality Department, preferably in manufacturing or automotive industries.
  2. Experience with ISO/TS standards, customer, and internal audits.
  3. Understanding of manufacturing assembly, sequencing, and equipment principles.
  4. Proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  5. Supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
  6. An engineering background is an asset.
  7. Ability to read and interpret component drawings and tolerance callouts.
  8. Knowledge of ISO 14001, OSHA, and TS16949 standards and compliance.
