Job summary

Amcor in Dallas, TX seeks a Quality-focused professional to support daily quality functions and ensure compliant product testing across lines.

You will train operators, manage quality reporting, and coordinate audits to maintain strict standards. A high school diploma is required; familiarity with ISO 9001 and lab testing is highly valued. Collaborative teamwork and acute attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • High school graduation or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or relevant version; internal auditor certification preferred.
  • Experience with lab testing and quality control in manufacturing.
  • Ability to perform functional math and understand test methods.

Responsibilities

  • Follows safety and quality rules to foster safety/quality culture.
  • Tests packaging, labeling specs on products coming off the line.
  • Trains operators on test methods to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinates production inspection activities to ensure lines are tested.
  • Drives continuous improvement projects with production and warehouse teams.
  • Oversees quality reporting, retai n program and calibration.
  • Maintains test equipment and trains others as required.
  • Works with Purchasing to address vendor concerns and dispositions.
  • Supervises shift when managers are not present.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Purpose

Work closely with the plant personnel and the multisite Quality Manager to facilitate daily quality functions. Ensure procedures are followed and product testing is performed in a manner that will enhance the delivery of quality product to the customer.

Responsibilities
  • Follows all safety/quality rules and absolutes to foster the safety/quality culture in the plant.
  • Tests quality, packaging, labeling specifications on product coming off the end of line for accuracy.
  • Trains and coaches operators and packers on the line to be able to understand test methods and specifications to ensure accuracy and comprehension.
  • Coordinates production inspection activities to ensure all lines are tested during the manufacturing process.
  • Works closely with the Warehouse and Production teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects to drive cost savings.
  • Oversees the quality management system and conducts internal audits
  • Place non-conforming finished product on hold. Coordinate the recheck and disposition.
  • Maintain test equipment in accordance with set standards. Train others as required.
  • Manages all quality reporting, retain program, and gage-list calibration.
  • Test in process, finished, and return products as requested. Assist in developing procedures and acceptance limits.
  • Work with Purchasing to address any vendor concerns
  • Supervises the shift when the production and warehouse management team is not present.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must have good speaking skills.
  • Able to edit documents for accuracy including spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and employees both in person and through written and verbal correspondence.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal direction and be self-motivated.
  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures.
  • Visually inspects the facility for tripping hazards, equipment safeguards and helps to maintain a clean work environment.
  • High school graduation or its equivalent required. Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the preferred knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or relevant version required; certification as internal auditor preferred.
  • Experience with lab testing, preferred.
  • High attention to detail required performing testing in an accurate and repeatable manner.
  • Production or quality control experience with extrusion, flexographic printing, and/or converting processes is a plus.
  • Ability to do functional math
