Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure compliance with ISO 22000 and 22002 and provide quality engineering support to manufacturing.

Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, you will perform validations, FMEA, DOE, SPC, and drive continual improvements across processes to meet customer requirements and Amcor's quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
  • Two or more years of Quality Engineering Experience (medical or food packaging preferred).
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification (preferred) or willingness to pursue.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ) and product validations per customer requirements.
  • Analyze failures and drive preventive and corrective actions across internal/external issues.
  • Facilitate FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
  • Perform DOE (Design of Experiments).
  • Track, trend, and report quality metrics.
  • Lead continual improvement activities (5S, Kaizen lean methods).
  • Support implementation and sustainment of SPC (statistical process controls).
  • Support engineering change order processes.
  • Assist QA Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the QMS.
  • Conduct audits and determine corrective/preventive actions.

Job Description

Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, ensures compliance with company Quality Management Systems and customer requirements in accordance with ISO 22000 and 22002, and provide quality engineering support to manufacturing.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO


  • Assisting with process validations (IQ, OQ, & PQ) and product validations as per customer requirements

  • Support manufacturing units with analyzing failures, preventive and corrective action processes related to both internal and external issues

  • Facilitate Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

  • Perform Design of Experiments (DOE)

  • Track, trend and report quality metrics

  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.

  • Provide support for the implementation and sustaining of statistical process controls (SPC)

  • Provide support to engineering change order process

  • Assist Quality manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.

  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions

  • Ability to effectively develop and perform: Validations, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Gauge R&R, and DOE


WHAT WE VALUE


  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Process Engineering, Operations and Product Development departments

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Must be results oriented, multi-tasking, and be able to respond to urgent needs and meeting deadlines

  • Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team

  • Strong statistical background and working knowledge of SPC software (Minitab preferred)

  • PC Oriented (MS Office)

  • Must have working knowledge of ISO-13485 or ISO 9001 QMSR and FDA Medical Devices Regulations
