Job summary

Hitachi Vantara Corporation is seeking a Jr. Quality Engineer to ensure our high-performance transformer products meet strict quality, safety, and reliability standards.

You will perform inspections, tests, and data-driven analysis to drive continuous improvement across the production lifecycle. You will collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams, document non-conformances, support root-cause investigations, and help maintain quality records while advancing Lean and 5S initiatives in a

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in manufacturing or quality environments preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and Quality Management Systems.
• Experience with quality tools (8D, FMEA, root cause analysis).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, mechanical, and visual inspections
• Test incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products
• Identify and document non-conformances; elevate when needed
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues
• Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and data
• Participate in audits, process reviews, and risk assessments
• Support Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
