Education and Experience Requirements:
*These positions require a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
*Certification can be obtained with the appropriate technical experience including credit for related Professional Credentials. Technical experience is subject to review and approval from the Manager of Quality Assurance.
*Quality Specialist III requires Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (with preference given in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics or Quality Assurance). Six (6) years of Technical experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction, operation or maintenance with two (2) or more of those years in the nuclear field.
oAssociate Degree from an accredited institution must be in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics or Quality Assurance. Six (6) years of Technical experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction, operation or maintenance with two (2) or more of those years in the nuclear field.
Note: Not having a degree in one of the preferred disciplines (Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Quality Assurance) will put more emphasis on years of experience in order to obtain Lead Auditor certification as required by ANSI N45.2.23 and the requirements in Quality Specialist Summary of Job Responsibilities and Requirements listed under CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
*The Quality Specialist III requires the capability of certifications within 6 months of being qualified to the requirements of ANSI N45.2.23 for Lead Auditor.
*The term certifiable is defined as sufficient amount of education and points (as stated in ANSI N45.2.23) have been attained by the individual to become ANSI N45.2.23 lead auditor certified, with the formalized required lead auditor training and audit participation only lacking to become certified.
Cognitive Skills:
*These positions require the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints, and make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to senior leadership and executive management.
*These positions require the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
VISION:
*These positions require the ability to pass vision requirements associated with company physicals as well as identify and distinguish colors.
NOISE:
*This position requires the ability to work in moderately noisy environments.

*Quality Specialist II, III positions require strong leadership and organization skills, flexibility to handle multiple simultaneous assignments and meeting deadlines.
*Quality Specialist II, III positions require the ability to understand quality objectives related to oversight of processes, programs and systems, analyze facts and data in order to come to a logical conclusion. This experience will typically be gained through performing other forms of oversight such as assessments and surveillances.
*Quality Specialist II, III positions require the ability to concisely communicate (both orally and in writing), plan, organize and lead a small team, chair meetings with tact, and propose adequate solutions to issues and problems in situations of conflict or stress.
