Job summary

Nestlé USA is seeking a Quality Specialist - Compliance Analyst to ensure products meet quality and food safety standards and regulatory requirements. You will lead the factory Compliance Network and drive continuous improvements using NCE foundations.

The role requires coordinating internal/external audits, training auditors, and maintaining documentation control, with occasional travel (<10%). A Bachelor’s in a related field and internal auditing certifications are preferred.

The Quality Specialist - Compliance Analyst will assure that products meet the company’s high standards, expectations, and compliance to quality and food safety regulations. Promote full compliance to both internal and external Nestlé requirements within the scope of Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) Foundations at the site. This position will be working with the Factory Compliance Network and SME’s, establish, maintain, and improve the factory’s Compliance Routines. This position will also lead the Compliance Network within the Factory, maintaining a focus on developing competency in compliance systems, tools and methodologies.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
System Accountability
  • Coordinates the implementation and application of the Compliance Network Management Routines for the Factory.
    • Review practices and drive improvements.
    • Support the Capability Building plan for the Factory Compliance Network to meet the objectives.
  • Coordinate the factory’s Compliance Routine to maintain compliance to Nestlé Management Systems.
    • Coordinate the Internal & External Audit calendar.
    • Is a Lead auditor for one of the management systems at the factory ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 or FSSC/ISO 22000.
    • Oversee and manage the factory Internal Audit Team.
    • Schedule, organize, and support external audits.
    • Ensure communication of audit results to FLT and functional teams.
    • Regular reporting of compliance results.
    • Apply the NCE tools & methodologies to the Compliance Systems.
  • Lead the Compliance Network at the Factory.
    • Implement, maintain, and improve the systems for Compliance, and verify effectiveness:
      • Audit Management (Internal, External)
      • Non-Conformance Management
      • Nestlé Policies and Standards Management
      • Change Management (MoC)
      • Management Review
      • Document Control
      • Record Control
      • Management by Process (Process Description, Process Mapping) NMS
Training, Coaching, & Assessing
  • Active member of the NUSA Compliance Network.
    • Represents the NUSA Compliance Network within the Factory.
    • Train the factory to build competency with compliance obligations.
    • Train Internal Auditors and assess auditor and program performance.
  • Promote a culture of full Compliance, and incorporate Best Practices from throughout the Network.
    • Coordinate the group of responsible SME’s from each function within the factory.
    • Train and coach the Factory to build competency in Compliance Systems, Tools and Methodologies.
  • Support process owners in the successful completion of NIA audit.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Frontline support for operations including collaborative problem solving, trouble-shooting and continuous improvement. Readily and timely respond to issues on the factory floor.
  • Responsible for identifying and closing gaps in procedures and/or processes.
  • Clear communication of issues to peers, cross functional teams and upper management as necessary.
  • Documentation review and updates to factory policies and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in compliance to Nestlé standards.
  • Support Continuous Improvement Initiatives for factory metrics to enable the achievement of business objectives.
  • Execute technical documentation, procedural development and training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • B.S. Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related field, preferred.
Experience
  • Internal Auditor Certification to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 or FSSC/ISO 22000.
  • Process-Based Auditing systems such as ISO.
  • Compliance management experience (Quality, SH&E, HR, Finance, or other).
  • NCE Goal Alignment experience: factory or head office.

Salary:$67,824.00 to$98,155.00 per year
