Caterpillar in Dyer, Indiana is seeking a Quality Specialist to perform detailed inspections of manufactured components and ensure parts meet specifications. You will use a Coordinate Measuring Machine and precision instruments to verify quality, with training on first shift before moving to the 3rd shift.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma, ability to stand, lift up to 35 lbs, and good communication. Relocation and visa sponsorship are not available.

A Quality Specialist is responsible for performing a range of inspection functions to ensure the accuracy and quality of parts.

• Perform detailed inspections of manufactured components
• Follow established procedures and instructions to ensure the accuracy and quality of inspected items
• Conduct testing and measurement tasks using a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
• Use precision measuring instruments to check for deviation from specifications
• Maintain records and documentation of inspection results

Additional Details

• Hiring for 3rd shift. All training will be on 1st shift for up to 2 months before moving to hired shift.

Pay Range

$22.50 - $29.20. Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
