Job summary

ABB in Senatobia, MS is seeking a quality specialist to support the local unit in developing capabilities to control products and systems, deploy a Quality Culture, and exceed customer expectations while sustaining operations.

You will assist with supplier and production quality, testing, validation, and engineering activities, plus develop testing procedures and perform First Article inspections for North American supplier localization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 2+ years of experience as a quality specialist in a manufacturing setting.
• Green Belt (Lean Six Sigma) certification preferred.
• Strong communication and diplomacy to work with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Support quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing and validation, and engineering, as applicable in the local organization.
• Develop testing procedure for our products as part of the Control plan.
• Perform First Article inspections on new samples as part of the localization project of new suppliers in North America.
• Run endurance life tests on our breakers and develop standard work instructions for tests.
