Job summary

LSI Staffing is seeking a Quality Specialist to join our manufacturing team in Millsap, Texas. You will help resolve quality issues, conduct audits, and support root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or 5+ years quality experience, knowledge of ISO QMS, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Management: support QMS documentation and systems.
  • Design & Process Review: review designs and manufacturing instructions for compliance.
  • Problem Resolution & Root Cause Analysis: investigate issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Auditing & Inspections: conduct internal and external audits and assist inspections.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: act as a point of contact for suppliers and internal teams.
  • Mentorship: guide inspectors in troubleshooting quality problems.
  • Safety & Compliance: promote OSHA-aligned safety practices.

LSI Staffing is Hiring for Quality Specialists

Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with a background in manufacturing quality? We are looking for a Quality Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will play a vital part in problem resolution, conducting audits, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring top-tier product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Management: Help implement, support, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and relevant documentation.

  • Design & Process Review: Review product designs, specifications, and manufacturing instructions to ensure all requirements are fully met.

  • Problem Resolution & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate internal and external quality issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement/verify corrective actions.

  • Auditing & Inspections: Conduct internal and external quality audits and assist with coordinating product inspections.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a point of contact to resolve technical issues and offer technical guidance to suppliers and internal teams.

  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to inspectors to troubleshoot and resolve quality problems.

  • Safety & Compliance: Promote safe work practices aligned with OSHA standards and internal safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education & Experience:

    • Associate degree in a related field OR 5+ years of Quality experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

    • 2–3 years of experience working with ISO Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment.

    • Auditor certification is a strong plus.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proven experience in root cause analysis and problem resolution.

    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

    • Basic to intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with personnel across all levels.

Physical & Environmental Demands
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions for greater than 50% of the shift.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently (team lifts required for over 50 lbs).

  • Comfortable working in variable temperatures, outdoor environments/uneven terrain, and around standard manufacturing settings.
