Job summary

Fusion is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Specialist in Cedar Rapids to support inspection, documentation, and customer/supplier quality initiatives. The role spans quality and warehouse operations, emphasizing precise data handling and problem solving.

You will implement PPAP/ISIR, participate in CAPAs, and drive improvements across processes. Ideal candidates bring CAD drafting experience, CAD familiarity, and strong writing skills, with proficiency in Word/Excel and basic metrology.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Drafting / CAD experience.
• Basic knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers.
• Comfortable with basic math and geometry.
• Strong writing skills with close attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and revise inspection templates and drawings, and set up new part numbers in Fusion's Inspection Database.
• Complete and review PPAP and ISIR documentation.
• Work with customers and suppliers to review quality opportunities, resolve complaints, and conduct new product reviews.
• Execute standard procedures for process control, testing, verification, and inspection.
• Initiate and coordinate corrective and preventive actions using root-cause analysis and other problem-solving methods.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and new systems development.
• Learn and train on warehouse processes including assembly, kitting, shipping, inspection, packaging and labeling, and quality systems.
• Support NAFTA/USMCA certification, RoHS and REACH compliance, and other quality or operational tasks as needed.

We're looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on Quality Specialist to support inspection, documentation, customer and supplier quality, corrective actions, and continuous improvement. This role works across quality and warehouse operations and is ideal for someone who combines technical aptitude with strong organization, writing, and problem-solving skills.

What You'll Do

• Design and revise inspection templates and drawings, and set up new part numbers in Fusion's Inspection Database
• Complete and review PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) documentation
• Work with customers and suppliers to review quality opportunities, resolve complaints, and conduct new product reviews
• Execute standard procedures for process control, testing, verification, and inspection
• Initiate and coordinate corrective and preventive actions using root-cause analysis and other problem-solving methods
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and new systems development
• Learn and train on warehouse processes including assembly, kitting, shipping, inspection, packaging and labeling, and quality systems
• Support NAFTA/USMCA certification, RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) compliance, and other quality or operational tasks as needed
