Overview of the Role

The Enterprise Operations & Technology teams focus on building secure, reliable, and efficient technology solutions that support daily operations and enhance customer experiences.
We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineering Lead to drive quality in the “Margin Calculations and Reporting” Platform within our Prime Finance Services organization. This role will lead a team, design automation frameworks, and partner closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead a QA team and ensure alignment with the defined testing strategy, enforcing guidelines, standards, and bank‑approved frameworks.
- Design and implement modular, scalable automation frameworks that adhere to the bank’s engineering patterns and architectural standards.
- Develop BDD‑aligned automated tests using Cucumber and standardized testing frameworks, ensuring scenarios reflect business intent and comply with internal governance.
- Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to establish deterministic, fast, and reliable quality gates for every code change.
- Analyze failures, improve test signal quality, and provide actionable diagnostics.
- Drive test data management, environment readiness, and observability to support reliable automation execution.
- Partner early with developers, product owners, and business analysts to shape requirements, define acceptance criteria, and prevent defects.
- Champion engineering‑led quality practices aligned with the bank’s SDLC, risk controls, and regulatory expectations.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of IT testing experience.
- Excellent knowledge of software testing techniques and testing tools.
- Familiarity with software development and testing life‑cycle methodologies.
- Strong communication and diplomacy skills with the ability to persuade and influence.
Automation Frameworks & Tools
Typescript / JavaScript / Node.js Automation
- Experience building automation frameworks using TypeScript or JavaScript on Node.js with modular, maintainable patterns.
- Hands‑on expertise with Playwright for fast, reliable UI automation, including fixtures, parallel execution, tracing, and deterministic test design.
- Proficiency with Cucumber‑JS for BDD workflows, step definitions, hooks, data strategies, and integration.
Java Automation
- Strong experience building automation frameworks with Java across multiple JDK versions using clean, maintainable design patterns.
- Proficiency with Cucumber‑Java, step definition architecture, dependency injection, and parallel execution strategies.
- Hands‑on experience with Selenium WebDriver (Java) for UI automation, including grid execution, stability patterns, and cross‑browser coverage.
- Familiarity with Playwright for Java, understanding its driver model, feature parity, and integration within Java‑based coverage.
CI/CD Engineering
- Strong experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Tekton tasks, pipelines, triggers, and event‑driven execution.
- Experience with Harness for orchestration, governance, quality gates, and release controls.
- Proficiency using Docker to containerize automation workloads in OpenShift, including pods, routes, config maps, and secrets.
- Strong shell‑scripting skills for pipeline automation, environment setup, debugging, and log analysis.
- Ability to troubleshoot CI/CD failures across containers, pipelines, and cluster‑based execution using logs, metrics, and observability tools.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
