Job summary

Assurance Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Set-Up and Final Inspector to read blueprints, interpret specifications, and perform precision measurements in a modern facility. The role requires handling CMMs, micrometers, calipers, and related tools, with strong analytical and documentation skills.

You will contribute to quality policy adherence and process improvements. The ideal candidate demonstrates inspection knowledge, teamwork, and proficiency with Excel; ESDO and ESOP environment

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as blueprints, routings, work orders, engineering specifications and safety regulations. Balloon drawings and write routine reports and documentation. Effectively present information to customers and other employees.
• Operate precision measuring tools including CMMs, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, eddy current meters, squares, hardness testers, measuring tape and profile gauge.
• Calculate figures such as dimensions, tolerances, bend allowances, proportions and percentages; apply algebra, geometry & GD&T.
• Solve practical problems with limited standardization; interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Understanding of Assurance Manufacturing Quality Policy and Objectives
• Knowledge of inspection methods and Quality Core Tools (Control Plans, FMEAs, etc.)
• Understanding of sampling plans
• Excellent organizational, communication, multitasking, and team work skills
• Intermediate Computer Skills including Excel (Ballooning software a plus)
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes

Quality Set-Up and Final Inspector Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as blueprints, routings, work orders, engineering specifications and safety regulations. Ability to balloon drawings and write routine reports and documentation. Ability to effectively present information to customers and other employees of the organization.
• Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include precision digital height gages, CMMs, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, eddy current meters, squares, hardness testers, measuring tape, profile gauge, and various other precision measuring devices.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as dimensions, tolerances, bend allowances, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry & GD&T.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Understanding of the Assurance Manufacturing Quality Policy and Objectives
• Knowledge of inspection methods and Quality Core Tools (Control Plans, FMEAs, Etc.)
• Understanding of sampling plans
• Excellent organizational, communication, multitasking, and team work skills
