Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem is seeking a Quality Review Sterile Processing Tech for the Elmhurst area. This mid-shift, full-time role requires adherence to sterility standards, and coordination of staff training across locations as needed.

Responsibilities include instrument management, data analysis, and program development to improve processing workflows. A minimum of 2 years in sterile processing and CSPDT or CRCST certification are required.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certification CSPDT or CRCST required.
• 2 years' experience in health care sterile processing.

Responsibilities

• Ensures daily operational compliance with standards from The Joint Commission, OSHA, AORN, AAMI and local ordinances.
• Coordinates and monitors staff education, training, and orientation through one-on-ones, huddles, staff meetings, and orientation with department leadership.
• Maintains instrument trays/sets, instruments and supplies; manages counts and revisions with staff.
• Provides data analysis and recommendations for improvement.
• Identifies staff educational needs and helps develop training programs.
