Job summary

  • Develops and tests quality/reliability standards to meet customer expectations.
  • Designs methods for inspecting and evaluating product quality.
  • Implements quality/reliability test plans and performs failure analysis.
  • Gathers operational data and evaluates results; prepares documentation.
  • Develops project methodologies and proposals.
  • Evaluates policies to ensure quality standards.
  • May be responsible for quality-related projects.
  • Mentors and trains team members on quality processes.

Job description

Salary: $110,500.00 - $152,000.00

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Travel: Yes, 20% of the Time

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develops, applies, revises, maintains and/or tests quality/reliability standards to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
  2. Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the quality/reliability of products.
  3. Develops, implements quality/reliability test plans and performs failure analysis. Performs FMECA, documents CRAMS and works with supplier and engineer to enable CRAMS test plan. Also performs PQP at supplier. Reliability modeling and ERAMS.
  4. Gathers operational and test data and evaluates results; prepares documentation for testing.
  5. Develops methods and parameters, project methodology and/or project proposals.
  6. Evaluates work methods, procedures and policies to ensure world‑class quality standards are attainable.
  7. May be accountable for projects/programs as well as developing methods and parameters, project methodology and/or project proposals.
  8. Coaches, mentors and conducts training for targeted organizations on quality & reliability process.
