Daesang America is the US branch of Daesang Corporation Daesang America is committed to marketing and distributing food and ingredient products in the US market The company’s major clients are American retailers such as Walmart, Costco, Trader Joe's, Kroger, Safeway, H Mart, and other markets It currently operates two offices, one in New Jersey as its headquarters office and the other in California as our west office

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) for imported products, including inspection readiness.
• Oversee all regulatory compliance matters, including FDA/USDA labeling reviews, CDPH registration/ organic certification.
• Coordinate and execute third-party audits (GMP/GDP, Organic), internal audits, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage supplier qualification and approval for domestic and international suppliers.
• Conduct quarterly GMP and food safety training sessions and maintain SOPs.
• Lead customer complaint investigations (VOC), prepare CAPA reports, and conduct trend analysis.
• Use Genesis to create, review, and maintain Nutrition Facts Panels in compliance with FDA regulations.
• Renew and track import permits and coordinate with customs brokers and regulatory authorities.
• Support new product development through label review, spec development, and compliance review.
• Serve as the lead for all product recalls and mock recall exercises, ensuring traceability, timely response, and cross-functional coordination.
• Manage and maintain COAs and product specifications to ensure accuracy and alignment with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to ingredients, formulas, labels, and labeling to maintain compliance with evolving FDA, USDA, and international regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field
• Knowledge of FDA/USDA food regulations and documentation requirements.
• 5+ years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance.
• PCQI, HACCP, or FSVP certification preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Bilingual in Korean and English required.

Salary Range: $70,000 ~ $95,000
