Quality Receiving Inspector - $19.00 *1st Shift

Join our team as a Quality Receiving Inspector - $19.00 *1st Shift at Harmar.

Job Overview

This role is a key member of the Quality Assurance team, interfacing with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Production teams. You will ensure that materials and products received from suppliers conform to all specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect incoming purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance using precision measuring devices.
  • Perform first article inspections on lots received as directed by the Quality Manager.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration is up to date.
  • Identify nonconforming products and ensure quarantine procedures are followed.
  • Assist with management of NCRs slated for Return to Vendor (RTV).
  • Move items to designated locations once released to production, involving lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Develop and improve quality systems related to incoming inspections.
  • Keep accurate records of received and inspected items and products to be returned to vendors.
Requirements
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to operate powered hand trucks and/or pallet jacks.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand measurements and tolerances.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in quality inspections and use of measurement tools.
  • Experience in receiving, warehousing, packing, or production for at least 6 months.
  • Knowledge of metal and fabricated components.
  • Skilled in using calibrated measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Familiarity with computer-aided measurement tools like CMM.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail skills.
Education

High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience.

Work Environment
  • Manufacturing environment, partially outdoors and non-climate-controlled.
  • Some lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for 10 hours per day.
Hours & Pay

6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday, with some overtime on Fridays. Pay rate is $19.00/hour.
