Piedmont Clinic is the Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) for Piedmont Healthcare which, to date, represents greater than 2600 independent and Piedmont-employed physicians, over 40 specialties, across a multi-hospital system spanning the state of Georgia. Piedmont physicians practice in every aspect of patient-care, touching inpatient, ambulatory, and outpatient environments, as well as the retail and urgent care settings. The CIN Performance Program provides structure and resources to effectively organize physicians across the system to set the clinical standards for our Network, which in turn, helps to meet goals in achieving the overall objectives and strategic priorities of Piedmont Healthcare. The CIN supports Clinical Governance structures which allow physicians to lead quality improvement efforts, partner with key specialties for cross-collaboration, all of which are supported by clinical and process improvement resources.

The Quality Project Specialist brings strong project facilitation, clarity of vision, critical thinking, process improvement, data analysis, and effective relationship management expertise to enhance and improve the overall success of the physician quality program for the Piedmont Clinic. This role primarily focuses on creating and supporting processes and infrastructure to facilitate large-scale quality improvement for clinical practice priorities set by the Physician Network. This high functioning team member serves as an integral part of the overall Quality and Safety Team for PHC, supporting all components of the Piedmont Clinic's quality program, largely through the physician organization structure of the Clinical Governance Councils (CGCs). Quality Project Specialists serve as subject matter experts (SME) for their assigned CGCs, their performance and quality metrics, and subsequently provides full support, ownership, and guidance to physicians and practices to ensure success in driving performance and quality improvement initiatives and measures. This team member serves as the provider and practice-facing liaison to assigned physician members and practices to ensure ongoing success for all aspects of membership within the Network.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business administration, management, nursing, or similar field from a recognized university or college required.
Minimum Experience Required
Five (5) years' experience in healthcare, with at least two (2) years process improvement or project management experience required. Experience in effective application of QPI principles and use of project management skills required.
Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law
If degree is in nursing, current RN licensure in the state of GA is required.
Additional Qualifications
Masters Degree preferred. Prior people-leadership experience preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in working with physicians, large and small project teams, leaders, and other clinicians in the health system to improve clinical quality and performance metrics strongly preferred.
Ability to facilitate internal and external team meetings assigned to the quality project specialist to solve for, or resolve, an identified issue or area for improvement (inclusive of physicians and non-physician team members)
