Job summary

The Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA) seeks a Quality & Program Specialist in Waterbury, VT to apply professional knowledge of risk and quality management within the organization’s Quality Improvement Unit. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, plus experience with Word, Excel, and quality improvement concepts.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in human services, business administration or a related field AND five (5) years or more of experience in quality assurance, data analytics, contracts/grants or related fields.
• OR
• Bachelor's degree in human services, business administration or a related field AND three (3) years or more of experience in quality assurance, data analytics, contracts/grants or related fields.
• OR
• Master's degree in human services, business administration or a related field AND two (2) years or more of experience in quality assurance, data analytics, contracts/grants or related fields.
• Background checks will be conducted in accordance with AHS policy.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of complex federal standards and evaluating current work against them.
• Maintaining scorecards and contributing to DVHA's performance accountability platform.
• Supporting the annual performance measure and survey production cycle.
• Coordinating improvement projects as assigned.
• Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Managing and/or supporting workgroups.
