Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking a Quality Manager I for our Federal project near the Greater Sacramento area. You will implement and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and contract requirements while supporting safe, efficient project execution.

You will coach staff, develop inspection/test plans, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement. Limited travel and potential bonuses are noted; base pay ranges $100k–$145k depending on experience.

Qualifications

• AEC degree preferred or equivalent in related field.
• USACE/NAVFAC/NRC CQM certification preferred.
• Industry certifications for testing/inspection as required.
• Limited travel for projects as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Quality champion for a project or multiple projects, ensuring QA/QC compliance.
• Coaches, mentors and trains project staff in quality management principles.
• Lead quality processes: planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, QIRs, follow-up inspections.
• Establishes, monitors and reports KPIs and QIRs for teams.
• Audits project quality programs and provides feedback on non-conformances.
• Directs inspection, testing and documentation; coordinates with operations and client.
• Creates project-specific inspection/test plans and quality control procedures.
• Supports risk management to improve profitability and efficiency.
