Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Mobile, AL seeks a Program Representative – Supplier Quality Advocate to oversee quality at a supplier facility and ensure EB processes are followed.

You will lead quality initiatives, coordinate with Quality Management in Groton/Quonset Point, and support program reviews, audits, and status meetings, focusing on shipbuilding quality control and noncompliance documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years ship building/maintaining/operating experience.
• Experience with cross‑disciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel to supplier site (Mobile, AL) as Focus Factory stands up.
• Project planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Quality efforts at the Focus Factory and act as a key contact for Quality Management in Groton and Quonset Point.
• Report on and provide recommendations regarding the health of the Focus Factory.
• Ensure procedural compliance in day‑to‑day operations.
• Support mentoring and learning on the deckplate.
• Participate in Quality Briefings.
• Ensure qualifications are maintained and procedure changes are communicated and implemented correctly.
• Support development and reporting of quality metrics.
• Collaborate with Operations and Strategic Sourcing Program Office to understand project and work status.
• Attend daily Plan of Day and Turnover meetings.
• Support analysis and resolution of unplanned events.
