Job summary

Total Water Treatment Systems Inc. is seeking a Quality Process Technician to prepare tanks used for water filtration by commercial and industrial customers. The role supports Lansing, MI and Byron Center, MI locations, with travel to Byron Center occasionally paid. Typical hours are Monday–Friday 7:00am–4:00pm.

Responsibilities include regeneration and plant maintenance, logging daily activity, and assisting with shipping, receiving, and tank repairs as needed. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail is required.
• Ability to work as part of a team is essential.
• Mechanical aptitude is preferred for handling DI tanks and equipment.
• Forklift experience is helpful for loading/unloading and moving tanks.
• Basic computer skills for logs and data entry are beneficial.
• Good math skills are necessary for measurements and documentation.
• Ability to read and write in English is required.
• Production experience is helpful but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Regeneration of DI plant components following company standards and safety procedures.
• Maintain records: daily logs, data entry, and administrative paperwork.
• Tag and identify PE, DI, Carbox, and Carbon tanks for proper shelving.

Culligan Total Water Treatment Systems, Inc. is looking for a Quality Process Technician to hire immediately to prepare tanks which are used for water filtration by commercial and industrial customers.

This position will support our Lansing, MI and Byron Center, MI locations. Drive time and mileage will be paid when traveling to Byron Center, MI. Typical hours expected are Monday-Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm.

Duties And Responsibilities

Regeneration

• Follow Company Standards for DI Plant.
• Practice safety procedures including eye and foot protection. Chemical use protection and safe lifting procedures.
• Regeneration. Working with weak base, mixed bed, cation, carbox, Personal Exchange tanks, iron filters, Wis. cartridges, and bacteria sampling.
• Prepare daily logs, computer data entry and administrative paperwork regarding daily work.
• Follow all QSR procedures as they related to DI regeneration.
• Use reports to track and monitor equipment operations.
• Tag PE, DI, Carbox, and Carbon for proper shelving and identification.

Plant Maintenance

• May assist with daily shipping and receiving including, UPS, Fed EX, water and salt deliveries, bulk chemical deliveries, and acid and caustic delivery. Will unload and load deliveries using fork truck. Maybe be asked by office team for assistance using the fork truck.
• Keep DI plant and shop clean, stocked and well organized.
• DI Plant Maintenance including; RO, DI Regeneration, Plant Neutralizers, Funnels.
• Assist customers with salt and water pickups.
• Prepare new tanks and repair existing tanks as needed.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Clear doors, sidewalks of snow and ice.

Experience Desired

• Production experience helpful.
• Attention to detail.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Forklift experience helpful.
• Ability to lift 30 to 80 pounds and move up to 550 pounds, assisted.
• Computer skills helpful.
• Math skills necessary.
• Ability to read and write in English.
